Apparently, this is a thing. On our drive to San Diego this summer, we're stopping at White Sands National Monument. I didn't realize that you could sled down the gypsum dunes. In fact, they encourage it, selling sleds at the park gift shop. Has anybody ever done this? Since it rarely ever snows here in Texas, there's something mind-bendingly ironic about traveling to the southern New Mexican desert to go sledding on sand. At least it's white, I guess.
