That’s a mighty fine looking casting.
I failed to take a picture after the governor mechanism and oil-pump/idler gear were removed, but just that irritating cam gear to go.

Got the cover off and the governor and oil pump out of the way, irritatingly my gear puller’s fingers are too fat to fit between the cam gear and the timing plate :P I’ll have to figure out how to get that off, perhaps with a new gear puller, and then I can pull the tachometer drive and the timing plate. After that it’s “just” a surface clean up, install the new gaskets, and reassemble.
