I was on the tail end of a 37km run. And I ran past this house that once had a 550 outside it. The gate was open and I saw something in the driveway that stopped me in my tracks and wasn’t a 550 (though the 550 was there in the garage).
Dude was washing a Citroen SM in the driveway. A rare beast. I said hi, told him you never ever see them. He said most people don’t know what it is. Nice guy.
It was an unusually warm day in Melbourne winter, the first time it’s hit 17 in a month or two and sunny to boot. A great day for washing, he tells me. Just quietly, I sorely wish I had his life. He lives in one of the priciest parts of the city, yet still has room for a 4 car garage though I didn’t quite see what the other 2 cars are.
Even so I think we understand each other.
