Repost for the weekday crowd: Today I met up with AestheticsInMotion, Wrong Wheel Drive (41%) and Wrong Wheel Drive (41%)‘s girlfriend. It isn’t often I have the biggest and most powerful car...
Well, another Oppo meet in the books. Weather was good but the roads were a bit busy with the long weekend. Everything went pretty well, other than some traffic issues, getting seperated from some of our group and slight mechanical issues.
Wow, one year already? Let’s look back at some of the highlights, who I’ve met and things I’ve seen.
I realized recently that all my truck pics are scattered across many posts, including “throwaways” like “goodnight Oppo” and the like. So here are all my best photos! I am still driving it, but I think I’ve exhausted all the photo locations here in Fort Langley.
Marshalled for the BC Historics today. Pretty amazing racing and cars. 99 cars showed up, these are some of my favorites. Sorry for the potato pics, I was working. We need more colour on cars these days.
I’m at a historical racing event, post to come later, but this vehicle deserves it’s own post. A real Porsche 906.
Worked my first conference race, lots of Americans and Albertans. Great racing and cool cars.
Went hiking to Hayward Lake, one of two lakes created by flooding a valley in Vancouver to power two dams. This is the story of the dams and the railway that created them.
I decided to make a Kinja account for Sergio Marchionne at about 9:00am on Thursday August 31st to defend his honour and essentially post what he would post, including shilling for products.
Repost for morning crew. This leg of the electric railway used to connect New Westminster to Chilliwack, and now we don’t even have rapid transit to most of Surrey. Opened in 1904, this branch made it possible to ride all the way from Marpole in Vancouver to Chilliwack, only changing trains once. This is the Fort…
July 7th, despite being only 26, I joined the rows of old men in lawn chairs and took my truck to its first show. I guarantee you there are things here you don’t see at your standard show and shine. Some awesome big rigs if that’s your thing. I hope everyone enjoys the photos!
I went down to Seattle/Tacoma in Washington today, even though I was still tired from the Oppo meet last night. On a whim my Dad and I decided to go to Lemay “America’s Car Museum” and see what it was all about.
Well, another Oppo/Jalopnik meet in the books! We had an attendance of 6 people:
Repost for the weekday crowd.
As mentioned by a few others, today was our Spring PNW Oppo Cruise! A great turnout with lots of awesome people and cars. I look forward to the footage from Eric & Studystudystudy as well as studystudystudy’s pictures!
Attended my first race as a volunteer for a long time today. First time since August of last year due to some health problems last summer/fall. Some familiar cars, some new ones. Just good racing. Pics and videos.
Went to Langley Porsche Cars & Coffee today. Some real cool stuff there today. First C&C of the year!
My wife and I went to the BC Vintage Truck Museum on April 7th. A lot of trucks with historical significance to Vancouver and the surrounding area. Some Canada only brands as well for you Americans. I also entered my truck into the BC Antique Truck show in July. My goal this spring/summer is to do one automotive event…
Attended the Vancouver International Autoshow with fellow Oppo Fintail today. It was a nice sunny day, 57 degrees Fahrenheit. I didn’t take too many photos, but below is what I got. Thanks for coming out Fintail! It was nice to meet you!
