This day started out normal, nice sub 80F temperatures early on which was nice for a July. I walked the show and saw some pretty nice iron, including a track prepped VW Gol (think VW Fox), which was absolutely amazing. I talked with some people while I made my way over to the supercar section where I copped a NSX and…
We got through bag 2 and saw the engine was next, and just had to continue. This thing is pretty kickass. 16 cylinders, and it’s even got timing gears, sort of.
Just getting started with my Father’s Day gift. Only 4.67 boxes left to go. I’m committed to only work on this one when one or more of my boys is helping, so it may be a while. My 5 year old is really good and can do most of the steps relatively unsupervised, but my 4 year old is still in need of assistance. And…

Seeing the grinning face of an Austin-Healey Sprite in person puts an effervescent smile on your face in a way a photo…
It was designed by a German who “deeply studied in Lamborghini’s early history and Italian design of the 1960s and 1970s.”
I haven’t had much to write about for a little bit, but I’ve still been wandering.
The front just looks weird. Not quite ugly weird. More like manatee weird, aka everything is so weird, that it kinda works. But the back is sexy!

This used to be a Ford Sierra XR4i, apparently. EDIT - apparently not. It seems far more likely that it’s an MG F/TF instead.
