Fantastic weather this evening. Damn it feels good to see all the ugly water spots from this week’s rain all gone. Put on my favorite tunes on Pandora and 45 mins later...
Washed, clay barred, and waxed. Do you think it’s shiny enough?
There was an incident during a recent oil change that resulted in spillage on my driveway. Not just a few drips, but enough that if a duck walked through it, they would become a good candidate to be featured in a dish soap ad showcasing how well dish soap works for cleaning up ducks caught in oil spills.
Not the business kind, the interior of your car kind! :P
Disclaimer: I’m not OCD, but my car is my castle and I do like things looking relatively clean and organized so I can easily find stuff when I need it! :D
Today was a nice day so, although I didn’t clean the interior or exterior of Humdrum, I took it upon myself…
It rained on my clean car today. Per usual.
Spent SIX HOURS detailing my car on Friday. Didn’t drive it much at all during the weekend. Today, it rains on it. All my work is done. Sigh.
Love having a clean car but despise doing the actual cleaning?
Just spent an hour and a half obsessively cleaning the threads on the used bolts that came with my new-to-me wheels. Now that I’m ready to swap the wheels, I need to take a lunch break.
Just purchased some of this:
De-yellowed my headlights using Meguiar’s PlastX. Worked a treat for very little work. Pics below.
In a Zoidberg-like attempt to fill oppo with my mini, I posted earlier about washing it. It’s clean now, and done perfectly; I pretty much washed it as usual with a shampoo, then hosed it down and dried it off with a towel. All the advice I got definitely helped, since the car looks better than ever now
Seeing as birds have been using my Mini as a toilet for the past few weeks, I thought it was about time to clean it, but before I do, I could use some advice -
So I thought I’d share the favorites for those that missed them, or are just bored and avoiding family. Enjoy! All posts are below.
So I was shopping around for a decent leather cleaner. My seats in my ES300 weren’t bad, but it is a daily driver and in New York, the pollutants really grime up the whole interior. When I bought the car 3 years ago I was amazed at how prestine the seats were, but as time went buy I figured it was some kind of dealer…
This is our Pilot. It has been the family car since we bought in 2006. It’s seen two moves; loaded with four dogs, four people, and luggage. It’s seen countless Christmas trees both inside and on it (don’t ask). Furniture. Killing deer. It’s done it all. And today was it’s time to shine. It got its first real detailed…
It's been a long winter. A salty winter. A winter that probably could have been avoided had DeBlasio not murdered that groundhog last year. DeBlasiooo! Anyway, this is my second winter since leaving the beautifully non-salted roads of Florida, and today I come to you, Opponauts, with a question:
What do you usually…
What are your methods of cleaning the interior of your car (seats, carpets, dash, etc)?
I promised my mom I would clean and out detail her interior on the Pilot. Little did I know how full of dirt and sand and garbage it was. This may be my last Oppo post. This might just kill me. Wish me luck! Photos later if I make it out.
Rear seats from a Kia Sedona! They were in really good shape, no tears or anything. Just a little dirty. I plan on keeping one and making it into a killer gaming chair (really comfy seat) and trying to sell the other. Related: whats the best way to clean and freshen up a cloth car chair?
Here's a 458 for your trouble. Now, I have been struggling with a project bike for a while now and it's starting to get down to crunch time. I'm supposed to be taking it on a bike trip in July but it still looks like this and I haven't been able to get it to run right.
