Fired up the old Kaypro. It’s a little temperamental these days, but given we’re about the same age, and computer years go by about a zillion times faster than human years, it’s amazing it still works at all. And you know the best part? It has WordStar, the best word processor ever made.

I also had a bit of a chuckle when I found out what they (3DMark) had considered for a 4K gaming PC (2 980s...)
Note that Project Dragonsong will be sold, but it’s been a fun 5 days building this computer from start to finish.
... Complete! (After figuring out why the motherboard was spitting out A6 codes [no storage media] for a half hour...)

Definitely needed cleaning :0
So I just put Windows 10 on my PC. Compared to Windows 8, it is about 100x better. I just hate how every time I turn it on, I have to login with a username and password. Is there any way to disable the password? It is really annoying to me. I’m not worried of someone breaking into my home and using my PC. Thanks
Instructor: “Now let’s talk about RAID storage! Tell me, who - in this class - has a RAID 0 set up on their machines?”
So my computer has been acting especially weird lately, being especially slow (especially when any web browser is up). Frequently my keyboard won't accept inputs and I have to physically unplug it and replug it to get it to work again. Task Manager isn't showing any particular memory hog other than whatever web…
Remember to clean the internals of your computers! Recently, I've noticed my games were running slow and randomly crashing. Today, I got a BIOS error that said my CPU was too hot. So I opened up the case, and everything was buried in so much dust that I could've used it to create a new planet. And now I can't stop…
It doesn't really help as much except 80% of the keys are visibly warm. Not hot (thankfully) but a bit warm. Are i7 chipsets supposed to be this hot (Highest recorded on CoreTemp was 48*C on core 2.)
However, I'm not celebrating just yet. Booted up speedfan, it says Temp1 is at 50C. Should I be worried?
Thought it was a good idea to plan a new computer using google sketchup...
.... And what a massive disappointment it turned out to be. For $300+, I was expecting something sturdy and modular and what I got was something that was built by someone who didn't know jack squat from head to ass.
Well, CoolerMaster changed that with the HAF Stacker 935. A main case for your main computer (Stacker 925) and one or two small cases dedicated (either) to HDD/SSD storage, cooling or housing a second Mini-ITX computer (Stacker 915F/R, the main difference being the location of the Power Supply Unit.)
