Was reading that Jalopnik article on Astons key fobs then I thought, “that hand looks familiar....”. THAT’S MY HAND HOLDING THAT KEY FOB!! And that’s my video they used! Torch just called me a stupid! (0_o)
video even mentions Jason Torchinsky
So aside from the mostly usual effects, like Maserati lease deals, I tend get quite a few weird ads on Jalopnik. They range from private jet services to $9M penthouses in Manhattan. And that’s just today! Maybe it’s not just me but it’s sort of funny really.
There’s a trending article on Gizmodo about most underrated cars of the last 20 years
Hear me out here before you call me insane, but if you have any inclination to buy a Fox body Ford, skip the pony. The car for you is a 1983-1988 Thunderbird or Cougar.
Cool people like Raph
Update: I never got a return call and I now have confirmation that the slots are all filled. Eh, not sure I wanna do 6 hours through crap weather just to chill. So unless any specific Oppos want to meet me I’ll probably just hang out in Milwaukee tomorrow.
Being a up and coming YouTube car reviewer, & burgeoning Automotive Journalist- I get to drive some pretty cool cars. Sometimes I even get to drive them on tracks ! One such car was the Alfa Romeo 4c which we all need to buy as only 400 were sold last year. That’s a real shame.
The weather will be mediocre (60, light rain) but I still hope to see a lot of people there. I’m bringing the 5, didn’t do all the work I wanted last week.
So in case you haven’t seen it, Jalopnik did a review of the TLX SH-AWD and the gist of it is that they found it didn’t deliver a sporty experience at all. They gave it a “D” grade in the enthusiast category. This conclusion, however, doesn’t seem to be based off any attempt to drive the car in a sporty manner but…
The rotary car in various forms was produced by Mazda from 1967 until 2012. Critiqued often as some of the most unreliable and impractical, inexplicably there are still thousands upon thousands of these roaming the wild. The name RX sands for Rotary eXperiment and was something marketing picked up from this RX-500…
So I know this is more just Front Page-related that car-related, but I sort of fell into a bit of a wormhole on weather data in Phoenix, AZ after seeing the article on Jalopnik and I wanted to share some of what I found.
This doesn’t need to be on the FP!
What a coincidence. I met Porker and the owner of the Z06 last year, and I’m not one bit surprised.
One of the perks of being part of the Texas Auto Writers Association is that you get to chose the Car of Texas (and yes the more famous Truck of Texas in a separate event).
As anyone who has seen my articles before or my followers would know (all 6 of you, let’s change that guys), I try to get you guys cool car content in a way no one else can like a Minivan or a Piruses on a Formula 1 track (those articles coming soon, videos already up).
So every few years a string of cars comes along that really excites. The last one was the Audi S5 in 09, the Ferrari 458 with it’s aggressive design, the new C Coupe.
The stars have aligned, prayers have been answered, and I can move from the world of really cool fast great handling sports cars (i.e. Audi S5, ZHP 330 CI M sport, Porsche Boxster, Jag S Type R, 135) into a super car.
I got to drive a CTS V, but not any one, a highly modded one with nearly a 1000 HP.
With the 12 hours of Sebring coming up this weekend, here are some photos I took at the 58th running.
