Went to the junkyard Saturday morning to pull the engine bay harness I need to do my swap. I show up there thinking this is going to be an easy disconnect and go like the van was, man was I wrong. The plug for the harness is buried behind the dash, requiring you to remove the dash to get it out. After about 3hrs at…
Happy MR2sday! Let’s talk MR2s. This one’s mine :D
Why the hell do vehicles still come with mechanical fans? It’s kind of amusing to see the logic that goes into vehicle that are designed today.
Writing a research paper on the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, and its impact on the auto industry. What are some good resources to find more info on the subject? Any notable cases to look over?
Got my Mazda3 back from the shop Monday. Having them press in the new bearings and hubs was a little pricey, but it seems to have solved my shake. It’s been an issue for so long that I still expect it to show back up every time I drive the car, but after a week of commuting everything seems good.
Finally ordered new wheels and tires for the Mazda. It wasn’t cheap, but the result is worth it.
Been chasing this one since I bought the car almost two years ago. I installed the middle one, from the Focus Electric/ST, today. It replaced the filled stock mount on the left, which had replaced the JBR on the right about a year ago.
...but my new rear transmission mount just showed up and now I can’t concentrate because I want to go install it.
A Porsche 930 with 70,000km is going to be fitted with a RWB kit, what do you think of this?
Six months ago, I bought my Mazda3 to replace the beater Civic I had been driving. At the time, I rather wanted to keep the car as a project, but my brother-in-law was in desperate need of something to replace his Suzuki Verona, so I let the Civic go.
I feel foolish. I’m confused, rocked even. Though I’ve tuned a few cars, I’ve since become a big proponent of keeping cars bone stock. Oil temperature is the Achilles’ Heel of the N54 engine in the road racing arena. Despite the 135i showcasing BMW’s attempt at addressing high oil temps in the original batch of N54 engines as seen in the 2007 and early 2008 335i, the factory oil cooling solution is lacking. As equipped from the factory, the 135i has…
When hearing people discuss or watching videos of people modifying cars, I always hear about "Stage 1, 2, and 3" modifications, but I've never really understood what that meant. Can anybody help me out with an explainer?
So, as I have a 3g Honda Accord, I keep an eye on the 3geez forums (forums and facebook), and every now and then I see things that make me wonder.
I love my GTI. It's a superb and fun street car. I do wish it had a bit more oomph though. Since I purchased the car last April, I've been looking to do a tune and a drop in filter. Nothing crazy, just a little bit extra while maintaining a stockish experience.
For automobile enthusiasts and especially those bitten by the mod bug, there is always a defining automobile. The one that you took your time with and really set out a plan for. You may have had cool cars before, or it may have been your first car. If you had previous vehicles, they may have been alright, but…
