It’s got an automotive theme. Sort of. I built a Ready Player 1 playlist for my son on Prime Music and this song was on the list. It’s pretty good. A bit basic, but fun.
N-K-Y Friday, what’s your jam today?
If you need a song to motivate you and get you going, this is the one.
For today’s round of Driving Playlist (REDUX), you must provide two songs of the same genre that I post. Today’s songs, Layla by Derek and the Dominos, and Sultans of Swing, by Dire Straits.
The new High on Fire is balls out amazing.
Staying Alive, without the vocals, isn’t a bad song. The beginning is repetitive, but the middle and end are solid.
Time to wake up that guy from Green Day
It’s the perfect song for the later PM hours, no traffic, and driving 10+ over the speed limit. It’s the perfect song for thinking about somber events in life. It’s the perfect song for an early morning drive, whether it’s a short trip or a long haul. It’s the perfect song for any occasion; this is one of my favorite…

Wherever you are, I hope you’re having a good time HAVING A GOOD TIME
Lose yourself to Dance
We’re all hopefully familiar with The Distance, penned by California natives CAKE in their heyday, way back in 1996. An ode to horsepower and pain, the song marries driving rhythm with slick synthesized riffs to tell its story of heartbreak and the bond between man and machine.
Fatboy Slim - Old pair of jeans
I used to send out mini playlists to the late shift folks at my old job. D.J.T.J. with the sick beats, if you will. IDK what to do with my desire to continue that trend, so here’s a song for your Friday
The Sonics - Have love, will travel
Jain is my newest musical discovery and maybe my favourite modern pop-artist.
Strings of Life courtesy of “Detroit Techno” genre artist, Derrick May, and accompanied by Francesco Tristano and the Philharmonic Orchestra Lamoureux. Turn up your volume to 100% since the sound is a bit on the low end.
