Something’s come up and I can no longer go. There will still be an open house though.
This is happening again! So far I have a list of
five, six, seven, eight, eleven, thirteen, fifteen thirty-one people and 19 20 cars who are in! Read for more details.
I may go because I’ll be on my way to San Diego anyways, but hopefully, someone else from Oppo will be there so I don’t get scared. The front page is, after all, a scary place.
With our absolutely brilliant 5-day March Wales behind us it’s time to talk about future European meets. We’ve got another 3 planned for 2018: Le Mans Classic July 6-8, Schloss Dyck Classic Days 3-5 August and Nürburgring (including driving it ourselves) during a TBD weekend in September. Who wants to join us?
Mazda Classic - Automobil Museum Frey, Augsburg, Saturday 28 April. Who’s in?
I’ll be there with my friend and my cousin, if any Florida Oppos are open that day you’re welcome to stop by and hang out. Information below:
The previous posts have already shown you what horrors befell the peaceful Welsh countryside at the end of March, I just want to share my personal experience here.
Who’s up for another Oppo-meet?
No, this is not an April Fools joke.
Wrapping up my photos from the Wales Meet- Links to streetview of some of the locations are in the captions. Just about recovered now!
Winning this “prize” for coming 1st in karting during the Wales oppomeet. It’s now off the car but I do plan on framing it as an amusing keepsake.
There was also a minor, but quite destructive, explosion in the centre box, which got professionally bodged and bandaged.
‘My’ BX has been fixed, but more importantly the Fiat X1/9 had a bit of a crash... Hedges were involved. Many miles of great roads weren’t driven by our subgroup
Wednesday was a run from the south to north, which sounds simple. I’m sure more details of the ‘incident’ will be posted shortly, but many of the group are still on the road after unplanned delays. On with the photos!
The Fiat X1/9 overheated and needed its coolant bled. Luckily there was this little stream up in the mountains/hills.
Always great to meet more of you! Also, shop_teacher’s GMC was parked elsewhere when I took this so the black Navigator is filling in for him.
‘k. I’ve run into a couple of y’all floating around Pirelli World Challenge, so why not? I’m going to watch the TCR/TCA race from the Turn 15 bridge (as in, on it, since I don’t think they care about folks standing on it for this race) if anyone at COTA wants to join me tomorrow.
I had a great time meeting y’all, it was fun just talking cars, drooling over a perfect squarebody GMC, and eating good food.
