Ahhhh yes, today I had a chance to spend some time in a Ram Big Horn, a truck I’d been wanting to drive for some time. This truck is a special one though; it’s special because it belongs to my father. He’s been wanting a Hemi Ram for years, and after much trial and tribulation with the VA he’s finally realized that…
If you have read my prior posts I hate financially responsible decisions. Today is no different. This time I am stuck in my own head, and I need your help.
Upgraded my cargo lamp (amongst others: see license thumb lamps) to bright ass LED bulbs so the next time some other asshat is behind be with high beams on I can blind them as well with a push-o de-button.
It is sounding like we don’t need to be upset any longer! It is happening! We need another Tacoma, Ranger, and Colorado/Canyon competitor. Please be diesel, four door, and manual transmission. Can we ask for a straight axle front? Probably not. Modern consumers are a bunch of wussies.
We’ve all heard of a Fummins (Ford with a Cummins engine). But has anyone seen a Ford interior inside a Dodge Cummins? This is a first for me... but how much should the owner be asking?!
Drove this beautiful beast again since having numerous fuel related items replaced. She’s got POWRRRRR AGAIN!!! It however consumes diesel to a point not dissimilar to a young soldier consuming drinks on leave.
This is a Ram 1200 pickup. You can have it with a diesel engine (126hp), 4wd, and four doors. You however, cannot have it in the United States.
We seem to photograph everything now-a-days. We film our kids, cars, breakfast, cats doing stupid things, even stupid people doing stupid things. We always have a camera with us in our pocket. Twenty-two years ago - not so much. Maybe that’s why I was delighted to see these of the project twelve-valve I’ve been…
My best friend, my right hand man, and my MVP of the day just sent me these photos of a new RAM. Take notice to the 8 lug wheels and the crazy front suspension arm setup on the last photo, zoom in on it.
I am weak in the knees. I feel faint. Sweat is dripping down my face. My loins are feeling goofy. Those clean lines, uncluttered by years of careful ownership, the oh-so OEM stock of it all. I can’t control myself I NEED this truck... that is until I saw the price... Now I’m angry.
Car based pickups are a wonderful thing. (Well, I prefer the term ute or bakkie, but in Australia and South Africa those terms have assimilated so that all pickups are called that, and it may be confusing for an Australian to hear how utes are a dying breed. So I have to use car based pickup. Annoying.)
It’s one of the industry’s most iconic grilles, and they’re getting rid of it. Most manufactures would kill to have such an famous fascia. (Same goes for the Mercedes ornament, which is only available on the S-Class saloon and luxury trim C and E sedan and estates.)
Safety Image for the weak of heart:
We have an elderly family member who cannot drive anymore. He had three vehicles: 2001 Cadillac Seville STS, 2001 GMC Yukon Denali, and 1996 Dodge Ram 2500 Cummins 4x4. Guess which one was abused and left to die? You guessed it, the only one worth taking care of, the Dodge. I just couldn’t watch it continue to rot.…
Finally located and picked up a ProCharger kit for the 2014 RAM 1500 project. We’ve been doing a ton of mods lately on the channel but wanted to really turn things up with the procharger kit. Lots of mods have been happening to the truck and JBA headers and install are also on the way.
I am loving the name, the rugged looks, the capability and that interior. Just configured one with the 5.7Hemi and some essential tech and safety options. $51K Whooboy! Guess I need to start looking at lottery tickets.
I’m going 40 MPH MPH with cruise set to 40MPH with the gauge showing 40 MPH
On our way to look at that house last week, we stopped for breakfast and I just HAD to park next to the old man here.
If I had the cash, I’d be leaving this weekend for it. The ONLY things I don’t care for are the manual trans (Yeah, yeah, I’ve got other vehicles for stick shift shenanigans) and the power windows. Other than that, it’s literally my dream truck. And yes, I know it’s either a W100 or W150, not a 1500.
