Well, another Oppo/Jalopnik meet in the books! We had an attendance of 6 people:
TL;DR: Vancouver Oppo meet with David Obuchowski, if you have not RSVP’d, please do below. Date & Time: June 29th at 6:00pm at Granville Island Brewing. Looking forward to it! I’ll have my Fiesta ST. Estimated attendance: 10 people (give or take a few)
Good friday morning Oppo. Went for a nice stroll after making it into the garage before the valets start. Some photos. Not many people out other than police.
So, recently my wife got a new job. She used to work across the street from me and we’d get coffee and walk every day. Now, I don’t have that anymore. If it is OK with Oppo, I may post interesting auto’s from time to time as I walk around Downtown Vancouver. It gets me out of the office.
After it’s debut in London, the Cullinan has officially launched in North America. Can you guess which city? 6th largest market for Rolls Royce in the world. Still can’t guess? Maybe Los Angeles or maybe New York? Nope.
$4.69US for regular. But 22 miles away, at Chevron in the US, gas is $3.29 a gallon for regular. At this point, I am resigned to just sitting behind the wheel of my cars going “vroom, vroom” in my garage.
My wife and I went to the BC Vintage Truck Museum on April 7th. A lot of trucks with historical significance to Vancouver and the surrounding area. Some Canada only brands as well for you Americans. I also entered my truck into the BC Antique Truck show in July. My goal this spring/summer is to do one automotive event…
Attended the Vancouver International Autoshow with fellow Oppo Fintail today. It was a nice sunny day, 57 degrees Fahrenheit. I didn’t take too many photos, but below is what I got. Thanks for coming out Fintail! It was nice to meet you!
Hola friends! I thought I’d share what I’m doing in April in case anyone wants to hang. I’m also generally free if anyone is around Metro Vancouver or Whatcom/Skagit/Snohomish counties in Washington.
Sorry to post twice in 20 minutes, but the Skoda Yeti had to be shown. Below is all of the automotive events happening in BC with some WA, OR and AB thrown in. Also, I’ve been using the #VancityOppo tag for posts about BC/Vancouver if you wanted to help out with that!
How is this possible? Where did it come from? Why did ICBC insure and register it? Also, where can I buy/import one?
Hello fellow BC Oppo’s and other Oppo readers. More bad news from North America’s worst place to own a vehicle. It looks like all red-light cameras are being upgraded to catch speeders as well. This is specifically a revenue generating opportunity for ICBC.
The BC Vintage Truck Museum is taking a big hit real estate wise. It is part of a trend in this area and North America in general where declining interest and an ageing volunteer pool is leading to closure of more of these museums.
Update: Fintail and I are attending Friday morning at roughly 10am. If any Vancouver/Norther WA Oppo’s want to join, feel free!
Strathcona is the neighborhood that makes up a portion of the infamous Down Town East Side or if you’re in Vancouver, the DTES. A part of the city known around the world for drugs and poverty. I walked around this neighborhood today and stayed around for a couple hours thinking about how it symbolized Vancouver as a…
Saturday night we had our Vancouver Oppo/Jalop meet. We had a turnout of 5 people including myself.
Hello fellow Vancouverites/everyone else!
Strange thing to see in Vancouver.
The Vancouver Police recently bought some electric Focus’s for admin duties. But, more excitingly, a handful of Zero’s!!
