The BMW E30 Touring is gone, long live the E30 Touring!

Good, it was in the way! No more RWD and straight six engines though, that kind of sucks. For those interested: I had it auctioned, and got €2600 for it. Less than hoped for, but break even-ish.

I had hoped to be able to ship it to an oppo member overseas, but that never got any further than many ‘nice car, cheap too, I wish I had money’ comments.

A Belgian guy bought the BMW. He was about 30 years old and he had to drive 4 hours to get here. I’m unsure what his plans are with it, he might use it as a daily driver. I do hope he takes car of it and fixes the rust issues on the front doors and the hatch.

Interesting (to me) is that the last four cars I sold went to four different countries: first ‘89 E30 Touring to the US, ‘88 Peugeot 205 CTI to France, ‘90 Citroën BX to the Netherlands and now this second E30 Touring to Belgium. I wonder what’s next.

Has anyone else here exported cars before?
