This is The Opposite Locker where we try and sort out the cool from the square. You are free to discuss your point of view of the cars, on the board and up to bat, within the comments with an optional use of the "Anna Kendrick Test." This is a discussion system detailing how cool a car is, not how fast, fun, or frivolous it may be, but how well it looks in the cat's pajamas.

Try a different web browser if the polls do not show. Asterisked* cars are moved more than slightly from the original vote by use of veto power, and double asterisked** cars are vehicles moved back under a challenge. If you are confused about whats going on, click here.

  • Ferrari 458 Italia - Ferraris always come with a whiff of undeserved prestige, the kind that makes you act pompous and elite around your equals. The only way one can attempt to escape this contemptuous cologne cloud is by purchasing a Ferrari with actual speed and power (F12, LaFerrari). The 458, no matter how fast it may actually be, is just a badge holder.
  • Lamborghini Gallardo - Of all the supercar manufacturers, Lamborghini has marked its place on the bench as the 'cool' company, however, the Gallardo is ludicrously outdated. It may have been cool after its initial launch, but so little has changed since then. Audi have since stolen the chassis, stuck their badge on it, and given the R8 to Ironman.

  • McLaren MP4-12C* - The majority of you voted this car much cooler than its competitors, but you're wrong. And don't think I'm just being mean because I don't like the car, McLaren is the team I root for in Formula 1 and I love their crazy-detailed engineering. thedriver nailed this one on the head, "Sorry, it's an engineering marvel, but for the reason that most of you voted the Nissan GT-R "uncool" should be the same reason you vote this "uncool". It's a computer system wrapped in fairly bland styling. Out of the group it's the least super looking by leaps and bounds. Do I love of, yep, but it's not cool." Square.

New Kids on the Block - Hybrid Hypercars

Hypercars are the new supercars, or is 'Hypercar' just a buzzword? The Ferrari has a stupid name, the P1 has the McLaren logo everywhere, and the 918 is too slow. We just witnessed Chris Harris nurse the 918 around a track, and while it appears to be slower than the Ferrari LaFerrari and McLaren P1, the 918 seems to carry a different sort of attitude towards the idea of hypercar performance. They're fast, but are they cool?
