The Opposite Locker - Edition XV

This is The Opposite Locker where we try and sort out the cool from the square. You are free to discuss your point of view of the cars, on the board and up to bat, within the comments with an optional use of the "Anna Kendrick Test." This is a discussion system detailing how cool a car is, not how fast, fun, or frivolous it may be, but how well it looks in the cat's pajamas.

Try a different web browser if the polls do not show. Asterisked* cars are moved more than slightly from the original vote by use of veto power, and double asterisked** cars are vehicles moved back under a challenge. If you are confused about whats going on, click here.

Also applies to the A4, but that's better looking. There are exceptions, like people who buy them for their excellent driving dynamics, but most buy it for the badge and how they think it makes them look." Uncool.

New Kids on the Block

Monaco is this week, so naturally, I have to relate this to Formula 1. I already did the major super and hyper cars from Ferrari, McLaren, Lamborghini, and Porsche (I know Lamborghini and Porsche aren't in F1, please don't badger me.), so I guess we'll have to settle for the British beauty of Aston Martin in honor of reading Travis's underscored V12 Vantage review.

We all know Top Gear has a 'DB9 Fridge' for the (you guessed it) DB9, but will our North American biases taste different? The DB9 hasn't been seriously refreshed into a new model in too long, the Vanquish's rear wing looks questionable, the V8 Vantage is underpowered, and the V12 Vanquish isn't fast enough for its price and engine size. There is absolutely no doubt that the cars the have come out of Aston Martin in the past decade are steal-attention-away-from-Emma-Watson beautiful, but does that alone make them cool?
