This is The Opposite Locker where we try and sort out the cool from the square. You are free to discuss your point of view of the cars, on the board and up to bat, within the comments with an optional use of the "Anna Kendrick Test." This is a discussion system detailing how cool a car is, not how fast, fun, or frivolous it may be, but how well it looks in the cat's pajamas.

Try a different web browser if the polls do not show. Asterisked* cars are moved more than slightly from the original vote by use of veto power, and double asterisked** cars are vehicles moved back under a challenge. If you are confused about whats going on, click here.

  • Hyundai Genesis Coupe - When I checked, the vote was 50/50, so I'm going to lump the Genesis with the 'uncool'. As some of you said, the facelift did not improve the styling. Here is bobkustofawitshz's take, "I first have to say that I am thrilled to see another RWD coupe. Can it compete with the American classics? IDK, to be honest I haven't driven one but I don't really think of this car in the same class as the Mustang and Camaro; I'd lump it in with the FRS/BRZ & 370Z. Drop a V8 in it, then we'll talk, but until then I'd be more likely to go for the Genesis sedan with the 5.0 Tau., or one of the pony cars (Mustang). That being said, I voted uncool for two reasons, both styling-related: the derpy front end (though much-improved since the refresh), and those silly sagging rear quarter windows."

New Kid on the Block

Audi bought Lamborghini, then came out with a supercar that first had a V8 from a car in their line-up, then Audi stole the V10 from the Gallardo and shoved it in the back. The V10 Audi R8 may be fast, but it certainly lacks the extravagance and styling that only the italians are capable of. Concerning the V8 R8, I still struggle to understand why anyone would want one over a 911 or GT-R. The trio are all styled with a German idea of 'flamboyance'. The car was made famous being driven by Tony Stark, but does this make it cool? We disowned the new Camaro for being overly marketed in this sort of way. So, can the Germans make a 'cool' supercar, or not?
