More faffing about

The yuge transmission leaves only 10" or so for the footwell depending on how far forward you push the engine. Good news is that’s where the pedal box will be and my feet should end up sitting behind the “bellhousing” where theres more room. Though that too depends on the seat inclination.

Propped up the chassis to figure out seating and rough out where the front wheels will sit to clear the turbos(which in turn decides how long the front needs to be)

It was around this point setting up the engine bay tubes that the lack of chassis table became a problem. Ended up braking out the level and using dimes to shim everything flat before tack welding the first 2 lower rails.(and then using the hammer to tap things to spec again once the metal cooled and distorted, which was especially tedious on the uprights for the upper bars)

Bought out the metal supply thursday with over 50ft of tube now theres only 5ft left so I’ll call it a day. Up next will be triangulation, building some interior structure, and engine mounts.
