Because davesaddiction asked about it. I wanted to post pictures that I have, but I’m at work and it’s difficult.

A couple of notes:

I’ll be 38 in January. I got my license and first car 2 days after I turned 16.

I saw “owned” because some of them were shared with my brothers, who are close in age, during our HS years, but they were technically my car as much as they weren’t.

There were a few that were stand-ins, such as the giant Dodge Van I drove exclusively for like 6 months on loan from my parents after a wreck or total meltdown of the cheap crap I was able to afford, but for those glorious few months I was a king.

Some were bought whole for parts, but I owned said title, so it was mine.

I’m forgetting one, somewhere. The current R-Spec is number 35. If I remember it, I’ll update. It was probably something even more crappy than the Civic or the Fox, so I’m blocking it out.

They are not totally in order, because I’m now old and forget things, but they’re approximately in order. There was a lot of overlap. At one point, I had 7 of these at once.

1984 Subaru GL Wagon - First car. Died in an accident involving ice and inexperience, but saved my life.
A Big ass Dodge Ram 3500 Extended Full Size Van - Intermediate step
1980 VW Fox - Crapbox
1970 Chevy El Camino - First project with my Dad
1986 Honda Civic - Worse crapbox
1970 Ford Galaxy - Damn, it felt good to be a gangster. Car tried to kill me with an exhaust leak before I knew what exhaust leaks smelled like.
1976 (?) BMW 2002 Tii - Second Project with my Dad
1993 Volvo 850 Wagon - WAAAAAGOOOOONNNNNNN!!!! Adopted brother was apparently cleaning the interior, with all the doors open, hit it in neutral and rolled it into the side of the house. Bent the driver’s doors all the way backwards. WTF, man...
1993 Plymouth Laser - Diamond Star FTW!
1970 Chevy Camaro - Project that didn’t get very far
1995 Thunderbird SC - Transmission ate itself.
2000 Mitsubishi Mirage (ouch) - Actually, still running, with like 250k miles, and still in the family. Desperation purchase right out of College.
2003 BMW 325i - It was cool
2005 MINI Cooper S - This was better. Tracked it, too!
1974 AMC Javelin AMX - Had an engine built and tuned by Satan. Could lay a single line down if the gas was pushed wrong (right) at 55 mph. Monster. Also, Purple.
1991 Mazda Miata - Bought it to help a friend, drove it a few months, sold it back to him.

1973 Chevy Nova - project
1992 Corvette - First Corvette! Tracked it, had helmet clearance issues.
1995 Pontiac Firebird T/A - Bought for parts for the LT1 for the First Corvette
1973 Pontiac G37 - Swapped in a 2006 GTO rear end and made it IRS. Welded it crooked somewhere, gave up.
2001 Pontiac Firebird T/A - Bought to fix and flip.
1984 Chevy Truck - Because at the time I had (rented) land that needed cleared for more cars.
1983 BMW 318i - Had a Chevy Vortec V6 and a 5 speed. Probably 4x more Torque than from the factory. Most insane car I’ve ever owned.
2000 Dodge Neon - Bought from my brother for $50 as a LeMons racer, Dad backed out, never raced.
1996 Triumph Tiger - Learner Bike
2008 Triumph Sprint ST - Commuter/Adventure bike. 1050 ml 3 cylinder FTW!
2002 Corvette Z06 - longest car I’ve ever owned. 9 years. Had a kid, moved to a suburb with a 2 car garage. Regret selling this. Will always regret selling this.
2011 Kia Soul - Mostly a work car, could hold a crapton of equipment for my job.
2010 Cadillac CTS SportWagon - An upgrade to the Soul, same function, way cooler.
2014 Subaru Crosstrek - Replaced the CTS with an impending suspension grenade issue.
2003 Mercedes C230 - Manual Trans! Traded cars with the wife, she felt safer in the Subaru.
2010 Subaru Legacy 2.5 GT - Got my own Subaru. Also should not have sold this car, but was trying to cut costs.
2010 Subaru Outback - Replaced the Legacy with this, got scammed. Hard. Traded it in after a month for a $3000 loss because the engine was preparing to eat itself. 98% sure it was an unreported flood damaged vehicle.
2012 Hyundai Genesis 5.0 R-Spec - Current monster of the highway.
