My father-in-law and I have a friendly spat about which branch of the military has better pilots. You see, he flew B-52s in the Air Force, while I spent my time in the Navy as a Corpsman. Obviously, we are biased towards our respective branches.
The past few days, I've been helping to finish the basement at my in-law's house, and started the final paint today. What color did I choose? Haze grey (the official color of the US Navy fleet), of course — only to forever remind him of the superiority of Naval Aviators to Air Force pilots.
For those who are confused, it is the equivalent of painting Enzo Ferrari's house with Gulf Oil colors or the red, white, and blue of Shelby's cars.
