A couple weeks ago, we finally had a Chick-fil-A open here in Madison. I was on the fence whether or not to eat there because their CEO is a gay-hating asshole, but I caved in a few days after they opened. But only because my gf and I were at the mall already, picking up a Christmas tree.

The next day, I mentioned in a meeting that I had gone to Chick-fil-A in spite of my dislike of their CEO's opinions on certain issues. Today, my boss gave me a holiday card with the $10 Chick-fil-A gift card above, and the comment, "I hope you can put aside your feelings for the Chick-fil-A CEO and have lunch on me!"

I suppose I'll be eating another of your chicken sandwiches (for free), you gay-hating prick.

EDIT: Apparently the guy has backed off the whole gay marriage debate. Of course, this part of the story got a whole lot less attention, and I didn't know about it. I suppose that's good enough for me.
