If your Ford had a Matthew McConaughey, it would be a Lincoln

This year's Tour de France is officially over. Sadly it was over the first day they went uphill. It became crystal clear that Chris Froom was untouchable this year. That's really too bad because the race from 2nd to 10th for the rest of the spots in the top 10 was genuinely a great fight. The final 2 spots on the podium changed hands on the pentultimate day of the tour. Nairo Quintana is going to be untouchable in a couple of years if not in 2014. If he hadn't attacked one climb too early on the first day of the Pyranees he might have finished within 2 minutes of Froom.

Americans had a disappointing tour to a degree. Vandevelde got hurt (again) and Van Garderen just didn't have the legs this year. However, 21 year old Andrew Talansky finished 10th. That is nice to see. Hopefully next year both will be in contention for the podium.
