The guys over at Gear Patrol have it pretty damn good. Companies send products of all kinds to their doorsteps for them to play with and in return all they gotta do is make some nifty content for aforementioned companies.
One of my favorite things that GP does is make these nifty little short films. They ooze with style and attitude, they often choose great music and occasionally have a cool little narrative.
That being said, I didn't much care for this entry into their ongoing series. Too much added lens flare, not enough of the car at play, over wrought styling.
Absolutely killed me that when they punched in on the front for the first time, the headlights didn't pop on and engine didn't burble to life. Major missed opportunity for a "moment" there.
Maybe I just notice this kind of stuff because I shoot and cut car porn myself. Maybe I'm just overly critical and I should spend less time critiquing other outlets work and spend more time polishing my own. Maybe I'm just an asshole with a keyboard.
What I'd like to know is what did you think?
