Opponauts- A friend of mine with a 08 Toyota Tundra 4x4 wants to get bigger wheels but decrease the profile of his tires, so that the overall diameter stays the same. If he can accomplish this, he is concerned about the effects on: the ABS, the speedometer, the odometer, and the use of his spare. My hypothesis is that if the total diameter stays the same there should be minimal effect on those systems. There will be the extra weight of the larger wheel but since the Tundra is already pretty heavy, and it is made to tow things, I'm sure it won't be a big deal.

However, I did not want to give him an answer until I asked the experts.
