Hasn’t anyone ever told you to be careful what you wish for?

I’ve been sitting on this one for a while. The guys invited me out to Portland (Oregon, not Maine) back in October to be on the season finale episode and teach them how to co-drive. We chatted pace notes while cooking hot dogs on a campfire (side note: Ballaban shouldn’t be allowed near fire), hung out at Nameless Performance (and fucked around a bit with Chris Forsberg’s Formula Drift car), and on the final day Raph and Mike co-drove for each other on a short forest stage. I’m pretty sure they liked it.

Shooting the episode was cool. While there was a rough schedule for each day, there was no script, they’d just turn the cameras on and let things go wherever they went (unless things were running long of course). I feel bad for the editors who have to wade through all that footage of rambling and shenanigans to make a 30 minute TV episode.

After the shoots were done for the day Raph, Mike, and I got to take my rental FRS and do some exploring as well. Pretty sure Mike wants to move to Portland now.

The episode airs next Wednesday (the 10th), as the season 1 finale. Unfortunately I don’t have Fusion and I haven’t found anyone who does, so I’ll have to wait until the episodes are all online before I can watch.
