My commute is usually 13 miles, but one of the main highways was shut down for 5 hours today. There were no police warnings until you got to the crash(Thanks, Lexington PD), causing quite the jam.
And this leads me to a mini rant: Whoever designed most of the roadways around here, should be thrown into traffic. In what world is it a good idea to have absolutely no main road on one side of a highway, staggered left turn lanes, no lights, no right turn lanes, and no bypass route? I won’t even get to the interstate entrance/exits that 18 wheelers completely block because they are merging when you are trying to get off.
Also, thanks guy who didn’t wear his seatbelt who ate blacktop today for shutting down the town.
