CHECK THIS OUT!! I was just cruising Facebook and found a sale post on a Mustang page featuring this home made racing simulator! He used the dash and console from a new edge mustang and mated a logitech racing wheel, pedals, and shifter to it! Seriously check this thing out.
The builders name is Frank Diliberti and he is trying to sell this masterpiece currently. Here is what he has to say about it:
Alright so long story short, I built this in the hopes of using it on Forza 6 and Dirt Rally (PC) however, I ended up having my brother move back home from the military and I literally have no space for myself, let alone this anymore. I built this right at the begining of november, and it took me right over 80 hours to complete. I put money, blood and sweat into this like you couldnt believe. Theres also a chunk of my finger probably someplace hidden between all the wood, but thats just an extra surprise free to you. Truthfully, I dont want to sell this as its a work of art and I put a lot of passion into it. Im trying to hold onto the hopes of me one day having the space for it again, but I dont want it to just sit in my shed collecting dust because I spent way to much money making it. So consider this a feeler of sorts.
Speaking of which, I spent just right under about 1200 to make this, obviously not including the time I spent making it. So its a “make an offer” kinda deal, however id need something awesome to justify selling it, if not ill be the hoarder that I am and just wait until i can finally use it again pretending im really driving a venom GT.
The stuff inside of it-
-Full force-feedback logitech wheel
-All three pedals for that clutch fun
-6 spd shifter with a push-down reverse gear (bottom right), shifter is extended another few inches (not shown) to be real shift knob height
-REAL (review pics) 90% complete dash out of a 94-01 mustang, with frame and center console w/ arm rest. Even has the real steering column to retain the adjustable wheel feature. The large dash vent towards the windshield is also there but isnt in the pictures.
Other pieces that I planned but never got around to (stopped working on it because I lost interest not being able to play it)
-Gauge cluster and bezel (not really needed, was using the space to put the wireless controller for the XBONE)
-Shifter bezel (have it just never cut it to fit the shift boot)
-Steering column cover (Used it for my gauges in my real car build)
-Another panel for the center console to cover the radio slot
-MDF board to cover the back and the passenger side (I have the wood)
Everything works flawless as is right now, seat fully adjusts just like a real car as does the wheel, the 4 things mentioned are all cosmetic. Any questions dont hesistate to ask, I also have embarassing videos of friends playing it if requested for serious buyers. Right now like I said, its in my shed and in about 4 pieces ready to go. YOU WILL NEED A TRUCK or something similar. Picture taking a pallet and throwing it in there. I WILL NOT SHIP. Please dont even think of low balling me with the amount of work that I put into this, you cannot “Buy” a racing simulator made out of a real car like this. Even the shitty “seat and wheel”s start at about 500-600, and an “ok” seat starts at 800-1000. This is the real deal. Thanks for your time.
ADMINS: This is technically car parts, but still If this is not allowed, please let me know and ill remove it asap, Thanks!
