Over the last two decades, we have been drowned in an ocean of of car based trucks. Most of the time, clueless individuals refer to them as trucks, or even worse, as Jeeps.

The Hyundai Tucson fits this description quite well. Look at that picture, you see a desert, rocks, ruggedized bumper covers, roof rack, mud and cactus's. The marketing agency that took this picture most definitively wanted to lure people into thinking that this cheap lifted econobox is in a fact a Jeep, and it worked.

But that's not my point. With so many cars masquerading as trucks, it's getting a bit old, where's the novelty ? Let's have a look at all the variation of car based faux-trucks we had so far:

So yes, I think we are ready for a new category, the faux cars ! Imagine a truck based supercar, a truck based econobox, truck yeah !

In the lead picture, we can see the car of the President of America. For all we know, it is based on a Top-Kick truck chassis. The proportions are terribly awesome. It's shows superiority, it is commanding, just imaging having that thing in your rear view mirror, you'll bow in submission faster that if it were a Panther ! People would like that.

So far, the closest thing we had of a truck based sedan is the Cadillac Escalade EXT.

4 doors, luxury, premium looking and truck cover, but I think they could take it to the next level and make it look like an un-stretched version of the President's car. A coupe and a convertible could also be made easily, and that would be awesome.
