So I undestand what a turbo is for, what it does and what it uses to do the thing that it does. When I see the housing, I see it is hooked up to the intake side of the engine, the air intake/filter, the exhaust side of the engine and the downpipe into the exhaust system. In the picture I attached, I now also see how the air comes in and what spins and what makes it spin.

In the case of twinturbo (like my SHO) how are both turbo's fed with air through one intake? Is there a Y in the tubing somewhere? And as far as spinning it, I assume there is one turbo on each side of my engine? What about compound turbo's, or those more common on inline engines?
