As you may have heard, Burt Reynolds is auctioning off a bunch of his memorabilia because he is apparently having financial troubles.
Anyway, the auction house that is handling it, Julien's Auctions, is a company started by a guy who is local to the town I work in.
I work at a newspaper and one of our reporters went out and did a little feature on the Bandit car which is a part of the auction: a 1977 Pontiac Firebird.
Anyway, here is a link to the article and the video of it. I was a little bummed they didn't do any burnouts or J-turns but alas, it is currently going for north of $100,000 I guess they didn't want to burn up the tires too bad.
