Now that school is out of the way and I start at an awesome new job tomorrow, I thought that it was finally time to start waking the summer toys from their slumber. Getting them in and out of the hangar where they’re stored is rather like a game of Tetris, so once they were all out (at least those that could move under their own power, I thought that it’d be a great chance for a few impromptu photos. Excuse the quality – all I had on me was my phone.

The MGA and VW Scirocco are my rather-neglected project cars, both of which I hope to have back on the road this summer. The Ghia and the plane (a 1940s Ercoupe) belong to my partner’s grandfather, who also owns the hangar. We didn’t manage to get the MG or the Scirocco home today, but they both still move under their own power, and run pretty well considering that they’ve both sat for over a year. I’m really looking forward to getting both of them back in action this summer – I’m considering using the Scirocco to start getting into autocross.
