Welcome to the free Weekly Racing Pick’em! In this league, you will compete against many others, picking drivers each race in various forms of motorsports. It’s easy! Each race, you will pick who you think will make the podium and qualify first (Scoring System Below). The Series’ included in this competition are Formula 1, Indycar, World Endurance Championship, Blancpain Endurance & Sprint, IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, the new Intercontinental GT Challenge, and a few events from other series like the Bathurst 1000. (I decided no full V8 Supercars season because lack of streams and broadcasts in the states.)
[UPDATE] I posted then schedule of races here.
How you will participate is simple and similar to other “Fantasy” motorsports games. Each race, before qualifying, you will need to pick a car that will qualify fastest, and then who you think will win, and who will come in second and third. I will provide a preview for the races including a list of who is competing. Your picks are due before the scheduled start of the qualifying session. No exceptions.
Scoring is relatively simple, and as there will be so many races throughout the season, I believe this scoring system will produce the most competitive results.
YOU ONLY RECEIVE POINTS IF YOU GUESS CORRECTLY. NO HALF POINTS FOR YOUR SECOND PICK WINNING.
Correct guess for winner: 6 points
Second place: 3 points
Third: 2 points
Qualifying: 1 point
That’s the only way to get points. No other predictions just straight and to the point.
Oh yeah, the most important part, the winner of the competition receives a 20" x 13" wood mural featuring the race track of your choice! At a $100 dollar value, that should give you some motivation to participate!
I invite you to join and play! It’ll take 5 minutes out of your week, and that’s all! If you would like to join Email me at HunterHensel21@gmail.com or comment your Email. I would like your Email so if you don’t submit your picks I’ll send a quick reminder. My Email is HunterHensel21@Gmail.com. A schedule will soon be posted of all the events, and the first race is the Rolex 24 at Daytona on the 30th-31st, so there is plenty of time to work out rules. If you have any suggestions I’d love to hear from you.
