Just leaned down to pet my 13yo golden retriever and noticed a new tumor. She has a handful of the fatty masses on her body, all relatively normal. This one doesn’t look normal though.

All the others are uniform in color, this one clearly isn’t. This also sprung on us very quickly, we pet her all the time and have never seen or felt this.

It’s about the size of a golf ball, for reference. I’m in a hell week at work, but will be taking her in to be checked out later this week or beginning of next week. She’s been slowing down a lot the last 6 months, so I’m not sure how willing we will be to go for treatment given that she otherwise has maybe a year left anyway. It’s going to be a tough decision.

We’ve had our pup since she was 6 WEEKS old. Truly an amazing dog for my boys. I’m praying it’s nothing, but certainly not hopeful.
