old Subaru wagons and cheap Range Rovers: The official vehicles of Colorado. This is even more apparent as I ventured onto the Denver area Craigslist. So for your enjoyment this evening you have two vehicles to unload your upmost scrutiny upon.
First off, a 2008 Land Rover LR2. I know, its barely a Landie, but it will give you the same frustrations when the steering wheel adjustment motor klunks out! The LR2 is equipped with a 3.2L inline six producing 230 hp @ 6000 RPM. The 3.3L is controlled by a shiftable 6-speed automatic, and a AWD system will allow you to summit a mountain of your choice.
Second, a 2000 Subaru Outback Limited Wagon. This seems to be the default choice around here, and because they don’t freaking die, you never see any newer models on the road. This particular swagon is powered by the famous Subaru Boxer engine. A 2.5L producing 165 HP at 5,600 RPM, and 142 lb-ft at the same RPM. The Boxer is tethered to a 6-speed auto, and that to an AWD system.
Alright Opp0, what do you like? What don’t you like? Should I buy one of these, retreat to the mountains and off road for the remainder of my life? Let me know below!
