What's at the top of your dream car spotting list?

What car, if spotted, would get you the most excited?

I made a post yesterday about how I’d seen a Sag, and mentioned that it was probably at the very top. I love Koenigsegg but I’ve seen a couple of those, I’ve been to the Pagani factory and seen those too. And the Japanese cars I really love are relatively cheap and common, even the rare ones, so I’ve seen plenty of those.

I think the cars you get most excited about are a combination of the car’s rarity, and your own desire. Some cars are extremely rare but nobody cars about them, some cars are very desirable but fairly common. Rarity in your own market helps, like spotting a GT-R in America or a TVR in Australia - both are far more common in other markets.

I’m not sure what’s left on my list. I’d like to see a Chiron but I’ve seen a Veyron which is...close enough. R390 road car would be sweet, but there’s only 2 in the world. Cerbera Speed 12 would be good but there are very few of those and none in Australia. CLK-GTR would be rad, going back to the Need for Speed days. An EB110 would be cool, though I actually glimpsed one of those locally once and didn’t bother to get closer - idiot. I don’t think I’ve seen a P1, though I have seen a Senna, and I’m not too fussed for some reason.

Actually, at the top would be McLaren F1. I’m a bit surprised I haven’t seen one, I’ve been to dealerships locally and overseas that have heaps of supercars just sitting around, like this one. And I’ve been to museums too. It’s not super rare in terms of build numbers, but I suppose it is very special.

So yes, if you’re reading this far, my dream spot for now is McLaren F1. What’s yours?
