In my first installment I focused on the "High's and Low's" in terms of price, but today as I perused Wayne Carini's F40 Motorsports site, I found some other vehicles that grabbed my attention and not only based on low price.
When I was a teen, my brother had a kickin' 1976 Triumph TR-6. Now, think about that for a moment. This is 1982 or 1983. He had a less than 10 year old car, though I do remember it was dodgy in many respects until he sorted the whole thing out. Well, Wayne has a tempting TR-6 up for sale. The particulars (sparse as they are, apparently they have no time to write up a narrative):
Like any car with a straight 6, in my experience at any rate, this car probably pulls like a freight train. I remember many, many tire roasting sessions in my brother's car. (Note: I'm pretty sure I'm way past the "I hooned with my brother's car" Statute of Limitations). This car is a deal at $14,600.00. I think it is the low-price car on his site, but I don't care because it's awesome, unless you needed to have your gauges be accurate or even working.
On the high side, Wayne is offering an Italian from other than Maranello: 1961 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint Speciale. Apparently my appreciation for this car isn't held by me alone. Jalopnik covered what looks to be this exact car in 2011.
This luscious beauty can be yours for only $139,000.
Let's face it, neither of these cars are going to be DDs, but they are both wonderful in their own way.
