The 2.5 in the 2021 sport gets 30 more hp (31 more lbs-ft) AND it gets considerably better mileage.
Also I guess I don’t get how the EPA does their numbers but wouldn’t 27/34 be a better combined number under any averaging scheme than 27/33?
I realize its city weighted and the actual numbers could be something like 29.1 vs 30.4 but still. At the very least you will be giving up little to nothing in the city with the 2.5 and gaining on the highway. I suspect in the mountain regions the city mileage on the 2.5 will be much better than the 2.0. Which begs the question...why even have it? does that 1 combined MPG number really help the CAFE scores that much?
