Well there were a few spots to look at, we knew a couple were the first signs of bubbling and they weren’t bad, above the windscreen and the factory seam by the hatch are usual spots and they did need some attention. Under the cowl wasn’t that bad, I did clean it all out before but the deeper area was not bad at all, which is very good. This car was in a shed for a long time before the previous owner started working on it, I cleaned leaves and debris out when I first got it. It’s lucky we got this car when we did, a few more years with wet leaves in it and it could have become a parts car. These 70/71's are the best and I hate to see people neglect them or do stupid shit to them, get a fucking 280Z if you want to do dumb shit! I can’t afford to take the engine out and do all that for now, maybe someday, for now the body is getting a good paint job and the side trim was removed. We did the rear before when someone bumped it, fortunately they damaged a cross member I wanted to replace and insurance paid the rear end job! The paint in the engine bay won’t be as bright but at least it isn’t a blacked out paint job like I’ve seen on some cars. The rear end is really pretty, it will be fun to have the whole hood shiny, the hood area has been the worst part of the car.
